Leah Burr

I was born and raised in Tempe and went to Arizona State University (ASU - Go Devils!) for both my undergraduate degree in Business & Psychology and my Masters in Business Administration (MBA). My parents (Linda and Richard Rickel) started a real estate brokerage - Rickel Realty - when I was 3 years old. I've always had a passion for real estate and even had a little business outfit that I would wear while out "helping" my parents show houses. I'm so proud of the business and reputation my parents built over the years and couldn't imagine having better role models and mentors! In January of 2022, we decided to move our company to Realty One Group - Chandler, in order to better serve our clients by providing more access to technology and streamlined back office operations for ourselves.

I previously worked at a major bank for 13 years, holding pretty much every position in the banking center from Teller to Assistant Manager, and then moved over to the mortgage side of the business, where I was auditing files going through the loan modification underwriting process. I then transitioned into process improvement, where I would analyze current processes, identify risks/inefficiencies and work with a team to improve those processes; saving the company time, money or both! I decided to join the family business in November of 2016 (after finishing my MBA in May 2015) and couldn't be happier. I hit the ground running and have loved my career in real estate since day one - my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

My favorite part of the real estate transaction is handing over the keys (and we're known for our fun videos of popping bottles to celebrate!), but I also love the art of the deal - ensuring my sellers get the most value out of their homes, and that my buyers get the best deal on their new home. My goal is to make the buying and selling process as smooth and stress-free as possible!
